See the Connections not the Illusions

A great saint once said ” God dwells within you, as you.”

I have spent the last 23 years contemplating that. A truth that was realized by a man who, from the age of 14, dedicated his every moment to the pursuit of human truth. 

My attempts to understand and define what this yoga master was saying has changed over the years. But even today, like when I first became aware of it, the foundation of it’s message is; we are not separate from God. We are infinitely connected through a visible and an invisible web of infinite correlation. Meaning we are not alone, ever! The illusion of singularity is as strong as the illusion of separateness. Both are self-inflicted wounds.

Like in the best seller 50 Shades of Gray, we must long for a sense of affliction and pain… Why is that? To feel alive? To combat the illusions of separation and loneliness? Is it guilt for having desires that are shunned by religion? Why do we act against our own best interest, when it pertains to our own self growth?

I believe that the Human Race suffers from a mass sense of disconnection to self and the living world around them, both seen and unseen. Because, as in the aphorism, “God dwells within you, as you,” the “self” is the binding connector to that absolute truth of human existence and awareness.

May we all see the world through the eyes of our creator, as in every aspect of what your sense of sight is seeing, because it is all part of one reality that was created somehow some way.

The Mayan Circle Begins Again……

As 2012 comes to an end, the Humans of Earth have survived yet another dooms day prediction. We are truly entering into a new age or cycle.. A cycle that may include an expansion of awareness and connection for some and the destruction of illusions and beliefs for others.

A master healer once told me, the universal spirit or Shakti or Chi is fully absorbed in the truth. That this “all-pervasive life-force” is fully aware of itself and each one of us has this life-force within our own metaphysical make-up. When one becomes aware of a universal truth it bonds with the absolute truths that live within us, and the Shakti/Chi works through each of us in a conscious way. That process always leads to growth.. Whether good or bad, it all leads to growth.

So in 2013, may all of us be aware of that life-force within us. May we see that life-force in all living things. May we also see that life-force in the inanimate things around us as well, because we know that they too are comprised of atoms. Atoms, being light traveling around the vast open space, vibrating at so many cycles per second.

So the rock is in a perpetual state of flux because it cycles so fast that to the naked eye it appears solid, dense and inanimate. But it is all charged with a subtle life-force that carries the prescribed blueprint to each and everything known to us. The saying; “Everything is Everything” is a very true statement, in a sense. So see yourself in your neighbor. See your likeness in nature. Let’s connect to that universal hard drive and plug your mind into the universal USB port that exists in all of us.

When the Human Race can sync up with that invisible but tangible life-force that is all around us, we become our destiny…

The Malnutrition of My Emotional Body

Our physical bodies need air, water, sunlight and nutrients to continue good health and growth. But we have known for many years now, through Kirlian photography, that a human being has an Aura, a subtle magnetic field of energy that surrounds the gross physical body. Subtle layers that represent the casual body and the emotional body as well as the spiritual body. These many layers and dimensions are what human beings truly consist of.

The fact is that all needs necessary for the physical body to survive, like air, water, sunlight, all have to pass through our auric field to reach our gross level. We, as human beings, tend to mostly identify with our physical and emotional bodies. Unfortunately, without the awareness that they are two separate bodies existing in the “one experience.”

Currently I am feeling the deficiencies in my own emotional body. I am 46 years old. I have no children or partner in life. I left my cabin on the mountain in the Redwoods in 2004 and moved to Mississippi to help my mom. I dedicated the following 8 years to making sure she was safe and hopeful of her future. Now she has bounced back and has a new relationship that is comforting her, which was my hope. In this process I have neglected my own emotional needs. I am now realizing that I am ready to invest my energies toward cultivating emotional connection and growth.

So today’s post is as much of a reminder to myself as it is also a reminder to you, to be aware of the many layers of bodies that make up the multiple-dimensional you. Recognize the needs of each level of “body” and bring the nutritional Calvary to the rescue.

Tryin Mayan or Cryin Mayan

The Mayan Calendar has gone full circle.  We are now entering a new age of understanding and consciousness.  I am already seeing signs of the shift.  The 26 acts of kindness is a good example of what it means to be a caring human being. 

I hand painted 20 holiday cards for my loved ones.  Though it is difficult to live in poverty, the joy in giving brings a joy that money can’t, even if it is a homemade gift.

My heart is filled when seeing the random acts of kindness spreading across our planet.  It is a much-needed phenomenon.  Maybe the horrible tragedy of Sandy Hook Elementary will be the catalyst for self-reflection and brotherhood.  This is my hope.

As I feed my dogs the last of their dogfood, my hopes of some work is still high.  Hopes that I will not lose my home and my very basic necessities.  Though some would say that I am a minimalist, I still need the basics.  With no work or finances, I will lose what little I have. But my heart and soul will endure, as it always has.  My Christmas wish is to have a prosperous new year.

Created in God’s Image

The world’s religions say that God created “Man” in “his” image.  Genesis 1:26 “Let (us) create man in (our) image.  Us? Our?  Who was God speaking to? The even older Mesopotamian story of Adapa (Adam) is a more detailed depiction of those first days of man.  The even older Sumerian version refers to the Adapa/Adam as Adama Adamtu-dam, when translated means, “Earthling” or “he of the Earth.” 

It is said that when “God” created man in his image, he binds his image to ours.  If we take these ancient texts as literal, and try to imagine if this was possible, our perceptions and inherent understanding of self are enriched.

Could the “Elohim” (plural word) have genetically manipulated primitive man (Neanderthal, Cro-Magnon, Homo-erectus) and bind their image onto it?  This would have advanced man’s natural evolution by 25 millions years!  That would explain Charles Darwin’s “missing link.”

We are such a gullible race of beings.  The religions of the world have confused the orignal documentation and folklore of our origins here on Earth, and our connections to God.

Happy Holidays Humans of Earth

I am Proud of our President

In a time of great sorrow for our country and the community of Newtown, Connecticut, our President comforts the devastated community as a father comforts his child.  His empathetic nature and ability to put himself in others’ shoes, was evident in his address to the nation.

Being a father of two daughters and a spiritual man, I can see the fire burning inside him, the fire that burns in all of us.  When gun advocates say they wish that the elementary school principal had her own assault rifle in her office to defend her school, I say, “what is wrong with you people?”  Guns should be for home protection, hunting, law enforcement and our military!  Civilians walking around in society with guns is an unnecessary liability.  Our President was right to say, “This must change!”

We must come together as a human race… in love.  We must not forget that the killer was a troubled child himself.  A troubled mind that was left unaddressed and misguided.  Mental illness is an epidemic on Planet Earth. 

Our President is one of few role models, in the public eye, that our children and adults have to learn from.  You and I need to be the example and the role model for all who see us.  When you see a person help another person or you see the compassion of a human being, it is infectious and inspiring.  It inspires us to reach deep inside ourselves to that space where our humanity resides. 

We have to see ourselves in our brothers and sisters, and defend them as if they were our children.  If you have hate in your heart, it is destroying you.

In the wise words of Bob Dylan; “The only thing to hate is hatred.”

Another Sad Sandy

In the depths of my mind
There is no time.
Yet time aligns from the depths of my mind.
Patterns of crime, a clear sign
that sad rhymes cannot subside.

The evil within, lives side by side
with loved ones and friends.
A human being is a fragile thing.
As the strife of life clips our wings
We come together in prayer and sing.
Reminding ourselves of what it means
to live and love as human beings.

May the innocence lost, this priceless cost
not be forgotten, but remind us all
that we are capable of such unexplainable things.

My heart and prayers go out to the families affected by the shooting in Connecticut.

Come Together

John Boehner is the USA’s Biggest Problem!!

The House Majority Leader, John Boehner, seems determined to do whatever he can to thwart the legacy of Barack Obama, even if it means holding our country’s progress hostage.  In the first term of this presidency, the Republicans, under his leadership, adopted a “just say nay” philosophy to make it seem that the President cannot get anything done.

We, the American people, have been the victims of this ideology and assault on our country.  It seems to me that the Republican party would like to start another civil war, all to protect the wealthiest Americans from paying their fair share of taxes!  The wealthy have had the majority and the most loopholes to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.  The fact that “most have some, and some have most” means that the some who have the most have a responsibility to those who have some.  But instead, it seems that the wealthiest would rather punish us “little people” for voting in a president that understands the needs of All people. 

John Boehner is the problem in our government.  Instead of leading his party to some resolve, he continues to protect his wealthy constituents and the Tea Party‘s ideologies.  He needs to be impeached, fired and called out for treason against the American people and the American way.  We deserve better!!
